The monsoon season started or something... I wanted to take some pictures of what I wore yesterday, but you know those rainstorms when it's literally pouring, and from every possible direction? Yep, I was caught up in one of those and was soaked to the skin. Brrr!
Anyway, the great thing about clothes - I can always wear that outfit some other time.
Once it's all dry. :)
The same kind of rainstorm hit today, but luckily I was still at work and rushed out immediately after to take these photos while the weather cooperated.
It makes me smile to see the huge dots with the tablecloth-like dress. :)
In a recent blogpost Pau over at Titine and Totoche wrote about who women dress for - themselves, other women or men? In this case I hope every weather-beaten pedestrian with a keen eye for pattern was cheered up a little.
See the happy guy? He absolutely has a spring in his step. :)
Dress: Second hand, Leggings: Chinese shop, Sandals: Tamaris (worn before here and here), Umbrella: Ikea, Belt: H&M (I turned it around, to show the simpler side), Big ring: Small boutique, Roses: Jojó Art Shop.

Love it! The dress is so cute and the belt is gorgeous! It rained a bunch here too yesterday... isn't it supposed to be summer?
Psst, it's my same old black belt, just turned the buckle to the back and added some roses. :)
Looks like we have a summer shipped over from India, hot, very humid, and very stormy!
Wow, this look is amazing! I love the addition of the belt and the roses are perfect colours! These pictures are great too, love the pretty umbrella!
Oh, those shoes kill me everytime. I need to find a similar pair.
And I love your polka dot umbrella - mine is similar and it keeps me happy no matter how hard it's raining!
HI!! Oooh yaaay I got a mention wuut wuut!! Hahaha and I hope your outfit did make people happy ;). I really like the dress, the fit is fantastic! And I like how you personalized the belt!
Saludos!!! :)
This whole outfit is awesome, especially the snaps of green! I love the last picture so very much.
Shoes? Gorgeous.
Dress? Smashing.
Belt: Darling!
Basically, I like this lots. Also, I didn't realize Ikea had umbrellas? Turns out you learn something new every day.
outfit photos in the rain are never much fun - but you are looking quite pretty here!
I think the dress is adorable and those shoes!!! So in love.
Ooh, thank you! I'm training for your Self-Portrait Sundays. :)
Happy umbrellas are the best! Just think how much better the city would look in rainy weather if everyone had a fun pair. :)
Modcloth had a very similar pair that went on sale months after I bought mine in Tamaris. (It's not available anymore, just checked.) I really wonder how this works as that definitely wasn't Tamaris, was a little lower and a little darker... But otherwise the same.
You absolutely deserve a mention, Darling! :)
(Especially as I'm so terrible at acceptance posts... Sorry! :)
Thank you for noticing the last picture, Jess! I love it too, though it came out fuzzy. I was so happy it still works in black and white. :)
Guess what, they even sell it cheaper when it's raining outside. What a brill marketing idea!
Yeah, I was glad it stopped raining while there was still light out! :)
love the mix! x hivenn
Thanks, Jazzy! :)
I know exactly which shoes from Modcloth you're talking about. I think they
were Kensie or Kensie Girl and I think Jessica from What I Wore has those
one's. I saw them and should have gotten them - I love yours every time you
wear them.
They do??? Oooh man genius!!
Hahaha no problem ;)
Now that we're talking about it - I just saw them in Tick Tock Vintage Veronika's most recent post. :)
This is such an awesome outfit, your little details are so wonderful!
Those fabulous shoes go so well with the belt, and the dress is so charming! ;)

Thank you, Lindsey! :)
It's fun, innit? I've never met a "twin" of any measures in real life. :)
Yeah, the green shoes were a love affair - I saw them in the shop, on their slideshow, and kept looking in asking when they arrived. Haha, the ladies must have been bored with me. :D
Wonderful dress! Amazing shoes! You look beautiful
