Illustrated Shoot - Snowing Inside

snow6s

It's snowing inside me but it would be wonderful if it snowed outside too!

snow5s

This winter we only saw about half an hour of snowfall, and I dearly miss watching snowflakes glisten in the halo of streetlights and seeing kids sleighing down the slope near to our flat.

One of my first memories is standing in the garden of the nursery school and watching the snow fall on my coat, then looking closely and realising that it was made up of tiny, symmetric starshaped crystals...

Then when I was in primary school, one year the first snow fell on my birthday and my father said he organised it for me. I was so happy!

I also remember walking the streets of Budapest with my first boyfriend and realising that heavy snowflakes cast little shadows on the ground - you can see the snowflake and its shadow nearing towards each other as they fall.

At least in my memories I can always see the snow!

Illustrated Shoot - Cartoon Coat

PICT0003cadss

My Mum thinks I look like a cartoon in this coat. Well, you don’t have to take her word for it. :)

I was just about to type: „I love this coat”, when I realised how many times I practically sing lovesongs to my clothes on this blog. This is one of the effects of blogging that I’ve never dreamt of – I have a much more personal connection to my clothes. One of the reasons for this might be the fact that many of you know me through the choices I make in terms of clothing, so I’m much more conscious how they’re a part of my personality.

PICT0018cas

I’ve always loved finding nice clothes and accessories and trying out different outfits in the morning. Most of the time I work from home, but even if I don’t meet a soul the whole day, I always dress up for myself. Some of my friends find it strange that I never wear tracksuit bottoms and torn t-shirts when I’m just at home… I wouldn’t feel myself if I did that. (Besides, I don’t even own any tracksuit bottoms.) (Oh, OK, I have one pair.) (But I don't wear it.) (Enough brackets!)

I feel lucky I can wear clothes that make me happy about myself, I don’t know how I’d feel wearing work appropriate black and white all week long! Instead, I can wear things like this coat, which fits the cartoon-character part of my personality just perfect.

Blue Moon

PICT0004cas

The absolute highlight of this outfit for me is my gorgeous new necklace.

PICT0011c2as

My Mum made this beautiful pendant and as I helped her assemble quite a few necklaces yesterday, I sort of felt like I deserve one in exchange... I fell in love with this one!

PICT0013cabs

I fall in love with these sandals as well, every time I wear them. :)

The days are getting shorter so fast... These pictures taken at my favourite door are quite dark already. Wait a minute, shorter days remind me first of all of shorter picture-taking time? I must be hooked on this blogging thing after all. :)

I wore: Trousers: H&M, T-shirt: Zara, Shoes: Tamaris, Bracelets: two sets were gifts
and another set is from Jeans Club, Necklace: Made by my Mum.

What can I say? Enjoy the last bit of summery warmth - and freedom!
(This includes wearing the same skirt every day if you want.)

Thank you for the great pictures, Boyfriend!:)

Polka Dot Day

I always wear the clothes I photograph around Budapest, but I have to admit I didn't carry this cute little parasol into the city. I just couldn't resist taking pictures with it. :)

Today the sun couldn't decide if it wants to shine full on, speckle me with spots or hide altogether. Hence the strangely lit pictures, sorry!

I bought this dress after Christmas, severely reduced, and it was definitely worth it, I wear it all the time. Apparently many bloggers have it, but I only saw it's red sister on Marisa Violeta. :)

Portrait of a bookworm

If we're talking polka dots, I couldn't help bringing along some of my favourite childhood reads from the Polka Dot Books series. Klára Fehér's book is not translated into English yet, but it would be a great project to do, and it would make an amazing film. I've been planning learning scriptwriting just for the sake of this book. I still love "Bezzeg az én időmben", as well as Erich Kästner. This yellow book here is "Lottie and Lisa".

What amazing covers! I'm still in love with them. And probably being subconsciously influenced by the pattern to choose certain backgrounds...

In other news: I hope you like the updated blog layout with new sections to browse through! I've been pondering a FAQ tab too, or maybe an IAQ one would be more interesting, for Infrequently Asked Questions. :)
Any feedback on what's already uploaded and any further ideas or questions very welcome!

Oh, the detils: Dress - Zara, Tights - Calzedonia, Bag - Thrifted,
Tiny parasol - It's been around for ages, I actually have no idea where it's from...

Everyone is So Much Cooler in Sunglasses

The sun is so warm, I can't believe it! Finally spring is here!
Looks like that's all you need for your pictures not to be grainy! :)

These trousers make me feel a bit like Marilyn Monroe. Just a bit. :) They have a definite 50s vibe for me, and the classic-shaped sunnies too. The blouse with the ribbon closure also reminds me of decades ago.

I put my hair up using flower pins.
I could say it was all intentional but in fact I couldn't find my hairclip. :)

The stuff I wear:
Zara trousers, Thrifted blouse,
Humanic shoes ( yeah, again, I know, I can't not wear them :)
Sunnies: New Yorker, Earrings: some small boutique, Flowers: H&M.
