Roses are Red

In all honesty I got a few stares wearing this headpiece at work... Though I did tuck in the lace neatly, so that I can actually see. :) 




















I bought this fascinator-headband for a photoshoot I styled (more about that in my next post) but I couldn't resist composing it into an outfit. To start out with, I thought it would be hopeless for me to wear such a blunt red headpiece with my red hair, but I ended up really liking it with some accessories in different shades of red.






































Regardless of the stares, I'm looking forward to wearing this again. For instance on Valentine's day! As we don't celebrate it traditionally here in Hungary, not much happens on the 14th. There are more chocolate adverts on TV, but that's all really...
I decided that this year instead of huffing and puffing about consumerist conspiracy, I'll celebrate my way, and just enjoy what goes along with it, sporting some extravagant headgear and bright red lipstick.

I won't buy anything though! I'm not falling for the consumerist stuff, ha. :)

Illustrated Shoot - Hearts of Gold

It's rather nice when Mother Nature provides us with golden accessories - like these fallen leaves.

December is on the doorstep with the festive season setting in. Obviously we don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here in Hungary, but to all the US bloggers - have a great time celebrating! If I could thank you for anything, it would be your continual support of my little blog.

Well, you will surely notice... Here we go, I had my hair cut.

I really had to have it cut as the ends were thinning so much that I felt whatever's hanging down from my head is not my hair at all, it doesn't belong to me.
My hairdresser added that it's lucky I don't have feelings like that about - say - my left arm.

I assure you I'm not that weird. :P

I'm not sure I mentioned it before but Marilyn Monroe is an absolute hero-icon-imaginary friend of mine. That's why I received this t-shirt as a present last Christmas and although I love it, I find it really difficult to style. For one thing, it's so odd to have a face on your chest - it moves and contorts and just looks, well, odd. I also had a problem with its colours, so today I thought I'd add both red and pink accessories to it, and see what happens... So I have pink and red flowers in my hair, a red belt and red bra-strap, and I totally forgot to take a picture of my pink shoes. Anyway, you get the idea. :)

I'm sort of blurry here as the next second I totally fell out if the picture. :)
